With the interest of the Olympic Games coming to a fore, local sports folk are achieving their vert best in their chosen sports.

One such sport is rowing, and the Nagambie Rowing Club members are very keen in their sporting filed and are reaching high standards in the sport of rowing.

The Nagambie Rowing Club’s junior rowers recently received new rowing suits to help provide a stronger identity at future regattas.

The uniforms were purchased through the welcome support of ‘Our Club, Our Future – Sporting Uniform Grants Program 2007’, an initiative of the Department of Planning & Community Development.

President Henry Moss stated that he is very pleased to be able to provide the much needed uniforms for the junior squad, who have brought the name of this club back to the fore at the many regattas entered over the last two years.

The young rowers have been representing their club at various mid year sporting events and young Will Day has been chosen to match his skills at a state level.

The club looks forward to offering as much support to the junior squad as possible, to ensure the future of rowing in Nagambie.
