Strathbogie Garden Group:
The next get-together is today, in Sandra and Michael Richardson’s garden at 112 Fernhills Road, Shean’s Creek, at 1-30 pm. Don’t forget to let us know if you wish to join our proposed bus trip to Cranbourne Botanical Gardens in early September - contact: Olwyn Brook (5790 8636) or Sandra Richardson (5795 1109).
Strathbogie Tableland Landcare Group:
An EMS Course was conducted at The Schoolhouse in Euroa on the evenings of 16 and 23 June. This was attended by 26 interested people (the largest group in the State so far), including small-holders, cropping farmers, horse studs and representatives from Strathbogie and Mitchell Shires. This program is a partnership of DPI Victoria and the VFF, with funding from the Australian Government. Those who missed the Euroa workshops may be able to enrol in the Benalla sessions on 2 and 9 July. Contact Rhiannon Apted, Landcare Facilitator, on 5735 4350 or 0418 140 710. EMS (Environment Management Systems) is very worthwhile, as it provides guidelines for best management practice including measuring your carbon footprint (climate change). The course is free and includes a manual.
Goulburn Valley Mobile Library:
The Mobile Library will visit Strathbogie next Saturday, 12 July, from 9.30am.
Bo Ho Gie music:
Friday 25 July at the Boho Church Hall. All welcome.

Strathbogie Campus:
Our Students of the Week last week wereHannah Broughton and Sophie Graley. Hannah has been nominated for her cheerful persistence with all tasks right to the end of this term. Sophie has been nominated for the confidence that she displayed in presenting a puppet play.
On Tuesday afternoon all the children were treated to a shadow puppet play presented by Maddy Graley, Dayle Tame and Sophie Graley. Everyone thought that it was a great play. We would like to say a special thank you to these people for the time and effort that was put into the planning and preparation. We were all fascinated to learn about making the puppets and it was an innovative way to present Bible stories.
This week Dylan Frigo will be celebrating his 10th birthday, on 7 July. We hope you have a fun time on your special day!
As Heather will be on leave for the start of Term 3, Libby Hamilton will be working on Mondays and Fridays and Sue Donlen will work Tuesday to Thursday. Ellen will still be full-time in the junior class.
Athletic training will start during Week 1, as we will only have limited time until the end of August, when the sports will be held. We will be working on the children’s fitness with running and skipping (Jump-Rope-For-Heart). Practice will also happen regularly in high jump, long jump, discus, shot put, hurdles and vortex.
Attached to the newsletter last week were five stories written by the children, which have all been entered in the “Children as Authors” competition. We hope that you enjoy reading them. We will endeavour to include more in each week’s newsletter.
The list of ‘things’ that we want to see happen around our school has also been included in the newsletter. We hope that all families take time to think about this list and help us decide on some priorities.
