Near frosty mornings Monday and Tuesday, then sunny days, cool nights. Overcast Wednesday and mild. A light shower around midnight, but did not measure. Cloudy and cool Thursday. Sunny Friday, with a cool breeze. Overcast and cold Saturday and Sunday. A few spots of rain Sunday afternoon, but not forthcoming.

Euchre: Week 5

Friday, 20 June - 16 players. Winners: Ladies - a 3-way tie between Beryl Ick, Marg Broughan and Marion Wilkinson, with Beryl the victor; men - Alan Moore. Consolation prizes: Ladies - a cut-off between Rita Gough and Sue van Lunenburg, with Rita taking home the small change; men - Albert Gough. Lucky door: Marion Wilkinson. Competition: Val Duncan.

Honour Roll:

The "Back to Balmattum" committee will gather for another meeting, on Thursday, 3 July at 7 pm, to discuss the dedication and unveiling of the new honor roll for WW2. A return to the district will be planned for later this year.
