Dear Editor,
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the following people who have helped to make the 8th Euroa Show 'n' Shine on Sunday, 4 October, 2009 such a huge success.
Firstly my committee: Doug Rust (who has been on the committee since day one), Neville Harris, David Cerini, Des Nicel, Steve McKernan, Brian Chanter, Kerrie Stackhouse, Yvonne Watters, John Mason and John Arandall.
Our major sponsors: The Thompson Motor Group, Euroa Gazette, Shannons Insurance, Goulburn Murray Credit Union, Burtons IGA and Strathbogie Shire.
We would especially like to thank all the Euroa Traders and friends who gave so generously.
Thank you Euroa Rotary Club of Euroa who supported the event and provided over 40 personnel on the Sunday for parking and traffic duties.
The team members of the Euroa Football Club also assisted with parking and we thank them.
To help the Euroa Rotary Club with parking we had another 15 or more friends who came and helped and a big thank you to you all.
Thank you to Charles Arnold who organized the Food Court and Trade Stalls. Margaret Broadhurst who assisted in many ways and also conducted a survey of the crowd on Sunday. Thankyou.
We appreciated and thank the Strathbogie Councillors who attended on the day.
A very big thank you to Libby Webster (Events Co-ordinator Strathbogie Shire) for a wonderful contribution to the success of the event.
Another special thank you to the outdoor staff for the pristine presentation of Seven Creeks Park. We thank the public of Euroa and district for supporting Euroa Show 'n' Shine.
We have achieved record entries of over 1200 cars and 6000 general public which makes this event the second biggest Show 'n' Shine in Australia.
We look forward to our 9th Show 'n' Shine in 2010 (first Sunday in October - 3 October) and hope it will be even more successful than 2009.
