Euchre:

The Spring euchre series began at the Miepoll Hall on Friday night with a good attendance. Twenty-four people sat down to play, making up six tables of four each. Winners were: ladies - Helen Lockwood, gents - Gordon Broughton. Consolations went to: ladies - Sue van Lunenburg, gents - Warwick Freeman. The door prize was won by John Cullen and the lucky number was held by Jan James. A huge variety of goodies appeared on the tables for supper - almost as many plates as players - and everyone did their best to do it justice! Euchre parties are still the best value to be found for social entertainment, as well as being "clean and green".

Strathbogie Shire has advised that the bridge over the Seven Creeks along the Miepoll School Road (connecting the Euroa-Shepparton and VioletTown-Murchison Roads) has closed until further notice due to its deteriorating condition. Repairs are dependant on finances, naturally.
