Strathbogie residents, especially those with children, were happy to see a new pedestrian bridge being installed last week.

The bridge spans Spring Creek and will be most advantageous for children crossing on their way to or from school. For years the Strathbogie community has been concerned that the children were being put at risk by having use the narrow, two-lane roadway to cross the creek.

The bridge was pre-fabricated and brought to the site by a truck-mounted crane. The installation all went very smoothly, and it was lowered into place with no fuss at all.
