"Euroa Shines" was the perfect time to introduce residents, as well as visitors, to some of the best the area has to offer in local produce, through the introduction of a new shop - "The Weekend Local". Here's what Euroa's latest traders have to say about themselves:

"A little bit about us…

"Our family first became connected to Euroa in 1977 when, with friends, we purchased five acres and built a house in the picturesque Gooram Valley about 15 Kilometres from the town. Ever since then we have been ‘weekend locals’. So, the name of our shop reflects more than just the fact that we are open on weekends, retailing local produce!

"Over the years, we have relaxed with old friends, made new friends, had childhood fun and enjoyed what the Strathbogie Ranges has to offer. Euroa has changed in many ways since then, but essentially, we still love the generous nature of the people, the beautiful township and the range of produce that is available in the area.

"In 2004, the allure of the region led us to a new pursuit, an olive grove just four kilometres out of town.

"We’d like The Weekend Local to be a place where you can source high quality products grown or manufactured within less than 150 kilometres of our town. Our aim is to continue to seek out new, interesting, and delicious produce from as close to home as possible."
